Two LaPlace Juveniles Arrested for Vehicle Burglary

Two male juveniles, ages 16 and 14, from LaPlace were arrested Friday, April 16, 2021 after they burglarized a vehicle in a LaPlace neighborhood.
On Friday, April 16, 2021, about 3:15 p.m., deputies responded to 1600 block of Jefferson Street in LaPlace in reference to two male subjects breaking into a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers reviewed video surveillance from a Ring doorbell capturing two males breaking into a vehicle and stealing items from the vehicle at a residence on Jefferson Street.
Shortly after, officers located two juveniles fitting the description of the suspects in the video hiding behind a vehicle in the 1600 block of Jefferson Street. Officers also located a package that had been taken from the vehicle in the hands of one of the juveniles.
The juveniles were charged with burglary of a motor vehicle (felony).They were released April 16 to the custody of their parent.
