Ochsner Health to offer 100 first dose Pfizer Vaccines in St. Charles Parish Saturday

Hahnville – Ochsner Health will offer 100 first doses of the Pfizer vaccine Saturday, April 17 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in St. Charles Parish at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center located at 247 Judge Edward Dufresne Pkwy, Luling, LA 70070. This event is being held in conjunction with the second round of vaccinations from last month’s mass event. Temperature checks and masks will be required to enter the facility.

Appointments are not required, and walk-ins are welcome. Ochsner Health staff will provide further details regarding the second vaccination date, time and location at Saturday’s event.

For those in need of transportation services to the location, please contact the River Parish Transit Authority at 985-651-1141. The rideshare program runs Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Monday-Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The fare to ride is $2 each way.

The Louisiana Department of Health also is hosting two additional vaccination events in St. Charles Parish. The first is on Friday, April 16 at St. Mary Baptist Church, 706 Paul Maillard Road in Luling, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The second is at the Fifth African Baptist Church, 174 Fourth Street in St. Rose, on Saturday, April 17 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. To schedule an appointment, visit the scheduling website here or call the vaccine hotline at 1-855-453-0774.
