SCSO arrests juvenile for February shooting

Sheriff Greg Champagne announces the arrest of a 17-year-old male juvenile from St. Rose in regards to a shooting that occurred on Sunday, February 28, 2021 in the 90 block of Carriage Lane in Destrehan, Louisiana.
On February 28, 2021, deputies responded to a call of gunshots on Carriage Lane in Destrehan, just past 12:30 AM. Deputies arrived on scene and determined that no persons were injured; however they did locate damage to a vehicle and a residence in the 90 block of Carriage Lane suspected to be related to the shooting.
During the course of the investigation, sufficient probable cause was obtained allowing Detectives to secure a warrant in the 29th J.D.C. for the arrest of the juvenile for two (2) counts of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and four (4) counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.
On Wednesday, March 24, 2021, Detectives from the Juvenile Investigations Division located and arrested the 17-year-old suspect.
