LAPLACE — COVID-19 vaccination clinics are becoming more prevalent in St. John the Baptist Parish and across the River Region. Shown above are photos from Tuesday’s vaccination clinic at the Choice Multipurpose Complex in LaPlace, coordinated by District VI Councilwoman Tonia Schnyder in coordination with the Louisiana Office of Public Health and staffed by the Louisiana National Guard.

Another vaccine clinic was held at the St. John Parish Council on Aging Senior Center in Edgard on Thursday, and the first of two vaccine events was held at the St. John Community Center in LaPlace on Friday. The next vaccine clinic at the St. John Community Center will be Friday, April 9, and residents can make an appointment my.ochsner.org or by calling 844-888-2772.

Starting Monday, March 29, all Louisianans ages 16 and older are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.
