Parish President Hotard signed an Emergency Declaration this morning to allow parish officials to take precautionary measures and ensure the safety of St. John residents during the Winter Weather emergency.
Garbage
Metro has susended garbage collection.
Road Closures:
The Veteran’s Memorial Bridge in Gramercy has reopened.
Sunshine Bridge in Ascension Parish is closed
Winter Weather Advisory in effect through 6 p.m. however icy conditions could persist through Tuesday. Difficult travel conditions are possible.
Please limit unnecessary travel if you can. If you are driving, please take it slow and leave plenty of space between you and the vehicles in front of you.
