Vaccination Conversation, a Zoom Town Hall aimed at educating concerned citizens about the COVID-19 vaccines, will be hosted by the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) and the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) on Tuesday, February 9th, at 1pm. The Town Hall webinar is designed to connect anyone who is anxious or worried about the COVID-19 vaccines with healthcare experts who can provide
information about the COVID-19 vaccines and how the strategies for their distribution will impact participants.
Vaccination Conversation features presentations by Dr. Joseph Kanter, the State Health Officer and Interim Assistant Secretary for the Louisiana Office of Public Health, and Ginger Hunt, a Nurse Practitioner Specialist and the founder of a nonprofit network of eleven (11) Federally Qualified Health Centers across five (5) parishes. Dr. Kanter will provide up to date information about the vaccines and who is eligible to receive them while Ginger Hunt will speak about access to healthcare in rural communities. A question and answer segment will follow the presentations.
