Hahnville, LA – The Luling Volunteer Fire Department has hired a third-party company to flush and test fire hydrants within its jurisdiction. Testing will begin Monday, January 25, 2021, and take approximately 2-3 weeks to complete 22 hydrants per day.

This mandatory test, required by the Property Insurance Association of Louisiana (PIAL), is vital in maintaining or possibly lowering current insurance premiums for residents in the affected area.

This testing may cause some residents to experience cloudy water, which can be amended by running the water for approximately 3-5 minutes until the water is clear. If residents experience any issues, they should call the EOC at 985-783-5050.
