LAPLACE — Bishop Ronald and First Lady Cherry Burl Frank of Milesville Memorial Church of God in Christ of LaPlace celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the National Day of Service observed on January 18 by serving the staff of the River Place Behavioral Health Hospital.
They were able to do this because of the generous donations given by Dawn P. Warren Realtor with Premier Choice Reality and Kennith and Judy E Jackson, of Phase 3 Body Shop Inc of New Orleans, as well as all the love, gifts and offerings given throughout the year!
The Milesville Memorial family would also like to thank Abdul J. Burl, Ana A. Frank, Brittany B. Frank, Cherronna C. Frank and the staff of Pizza Hut located on Belle Terre in LaPlace for helping serve and making this service project a success.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is the only holiday designated as a national day of service and is widely regarded as “a day on, not a day off.”
