Ochsner Health has partnered with Governor Edwards and the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) to bring the COVID-19 vaccine to our community.
Vaccinations are currently available, by appointment only, for the following groups:
Patients 70 and older
Patients who are on dialysis
Ambulatory healthcare workers
Schools of allied health employees and faculty
Unfortunately, walk-ins are not accepted at this time. Due to the limited number of vaccines, appointments are created as doses become available.
Ochsner Patients who meet these criteria, please visit Ochsner.org/vaccine for more information on how to schedule an appointment.
Non-Ochsner patients who meet these criteria can schedule vaccine appointments at one of our designated retail pharmacies. Details can be found at covidvaccine.la.gov and appointments can be made by calling 1-844-888-2772.
Patients may experience longer wait times when using the MyOchsner website or COVID hotline.
As eligibility expands, patients will be contacted and community members via email about how and when they can schedule appointments to receive the vaccine.
Vaccine Questions?
Visit Ochsner.org/vaccine for the latest information and the Louisiana Department of Health website for a full list of pharmacy locations across the state.
We will get through this by protecting ourselves, our families and our community.
Please continue to wear a mask, practice social distancing, maintain good hand hygiene and avoid gathering with individuals outside of your household.
