RESERVE — Due to a spike of COVID-19 in the St. John the Baptist Parish community, public school students will follow a revised hybrid schedule following the Thanksgiving holidays.

All students will remain at home through Wednesday, Dec. 2. Fifth through 12th graders are completing 100 percent virtual coursework during this time. Pre-K through fourth grade students are also working from home during this time, utilizing workbooks and paper packets.

Beginning Thursday, Dec. 3, Pre-K through 12th grade students will use the revised hybrid model. The Green Group will attend school in person Monday and Tuesday and complete work virtually on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Gold Group students will attend in person on Thursday and Friday and complete school virtually Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thorough cleaning and building sanitization will take place daily. Extensive disinfecting will take place each Wednesday and Friday.

Additional updates will be issued on Dec. 18. These changes do not apply to scholars in the Virtual Learning Program, who will continue a 100 percent virtual schedule for the remainder of the semester.
