CHEERS TO 100 YEARS: WWII Veteran Norris Stein celebrates milestone birthday
RESERVE — Norris Stein, also known by his loved ones as “Pepere” celebrated his milestone 100th birthday on Sunday, October 11 in Reserve.
Norris is one of the few remaining World War II veterans in St. John the Baptist Parish, and he and his wife have been blessed with five generations of family. Norris and his wife, Pauline Stein, are lifelong residents of Reserve. Norris retired from the Godchaux Sugar refinery when it operated in LaPlace years ago.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Norris celebrated his birthday with a select number of close family members.
