Miriam Maples Lauwaert passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the age of 80. She was born in Mt. Hermon and was a resident of LaPlace. Beloved wife of the late Gabby Lauwaert. Loving mother of Denise Howard Hill (John), Tracey Howard, Lisa Howard Hebert (Jason), Rebecca “Precious” Jones (Joshua) and the late Dawn Marie Howard. Grandmother of Steven Howard, Melody Howard, Jesse Howard, Tiffany Howard, Heather Hill Wynn, Gabriel Steinwinder, Grant Haydel, Jase Hebert, Mason Jones, Nathaniel Jones and Jackson Hebert. Daughter of the late Irene Smith Maples and Victor Maples. Sister of the late Abner Maples and Charles Maples. Also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She never met a stranger, loved by everyone and mom to many. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Zola N’Dandu for his loving care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W.
