Hospital names Employees of the 1st Quarter

LUTCHER—St. James Parish Hospital recently announced the 2020 Employees of the 1st Quarter, Kelli Dugas, MT, and Kirby Folse, RN. Both employees were nominated by fellow staff and chosen by the Executive Leadership Team for their dedication to the hospital.
Dugas joined St. James Parish Hospital in 2018 as the director of laboratory services. She is a Plaquemine High School graduate and completed her secondary education at LSU Medical Center in 1994.
Dugas was nominated by Robin Gaudet, respiratory therapist, who stated, “This employee is such a shining example of both a leader and dedicated team member. She goes above and beyond to get the job done and steps up to the plate to help others when needed.”
“You can pass her office any time and she is working on many projects and often helping out other departments and helping to improve workflow processes,” said Robin.
When asked for comment, Dugas stated, “Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for the support throughout this challenging year.”
“Everyone at the hospital has been so helpful, kind and generous. I am blessed to be a part of this organization,” said Dugas.
Folse has served in various nursing roles at St. James Parish Hospital since 2008. She graduated high school from E.D. White. She attended Nicholls State University were she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse in 2008.
Folse was nominated by Dr. Jarelle Scott, primary care physician, and IllegraZenon from St. James West Bank Clinic for her positive attitude, patience, dedication and helpfulness to patients. She was described as a “true nurse with 100 percent dedication” who is always willing to answer any patient questions and address their concerns.
Folse commented, “I learned how to be the best nurse I could be here at St. James Parish Hospital—especially thanks to my mentors Sabrina and Kevin who took me under their wings and taught me well.”
“I love all my past and present coworkers at St. James Parish Hospital,” said Folse.
St. James Parish Hospital congratulated both employees for their dedication to the hospital’s mission of providing excellent, quality and compassionate healthcare.
