Local athletes named to varsity program honor roll

FRISCO, Texas – The spring semester came to an abrupt halt due to COVID-19, and despite the change to online instruction many student-athletes eclipsed a 3.0 GPA.

To qualify for the Spring Honor Roll, student-athletes had to receive at least a 3.0 GPA in the spring and be an active member of a Southland affiliated varsity program.

Justin Ory of LaPlace: Junior atNicholls State, Baseball team, 4.0 GPA, Interdisciplinary Studies

Von Julien of Reserve: Senior at Southeastern, Basketball team, 3.33 GPA, General studies

Madison Watson of Reserve: Junior at Southeastern, Softball team, 4.0 GPA, Early childhood education

Toni Perrin of Reserve: Junior at McNeese, Softball team, 4.0 GPA, General Studies
