RESERVE — While the community has come to expect quality entertainment at St. John Theatre over the past 40 years, the local cultural center is now navigating challenging times. St. John Theatre will host a jambalaya dinner fundraiser to get through these hard times and get back to providing family fun to the community.

The $10 benefit dinner includes jambalaya, white beans, salad, bread and a cookie. Dinners will be served in a drive-thru format from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 16 at St. John Theatre, located at 115 W. Fourth St. in Reserve.

“St. John Theatre has been bringing quality entertainment and joy to our community for 40 years,” said a representative from St. John Theatre. “Please remember us during these trying times by supporting our fundraisers. We love and appreciate the people of the River Parishes, and we thank you for your support.”

Dinners can be purchased in advance through Paypal using the email amywombles@yahoo.com (Please add a pick-up name in the comments when paying.) Another option is to go to the St. John Theatre Facebook page and leave the number of requested dinners in the comments under the flier. Customers can pay with cash or check when picking up the meals.
