RESERVE—COVID-19 has presented challenges on many levels. Even during the worst of times there is something to celebrate or commemorate. The seniors at Riverside Academy have found new ways to uphold their traditions while following the social distancing guidelines.

Traditionally the students will sit in the gym and spell out their graduating class year. The 2020 class had to improvise and did this on the football field in vehicles.

Another tradition the seniors practice at the end of the school year is to clean out their lockers and receive their cap and gown. The class walks down the hall wearing their graduation attire. This is considered a rite of passage. The students were still able to take part in this event in small groups.
