LAPLACE — This Friday, March 6, 2020, the NAACP is hosting an Industrial Development Board (IDB) workshop from 9 a.m. to noon at the St. John the Baptist Parish Library, located at 2920 U.S. 51 in LaPlace.

In light of the recent denial of the St. John Parish Council’s appeal to uphold the exemption rejection for both NALCO and Marathon, the NAACP believes it’s necessary to have elected officials of the St. John the Baptist Parish School Board, St. John the Baptist Sheriff’s Office, St. John the Baptist Council and St. John the Baptist Assessor office attentive to this informative workshop.

David Wolfe, attorney for the New Orleans Industrial Development Board, will be conducting the workshop.

The public is invited to attend at no cost.
