I feel honored to serve as the Chairwoman of the 2020 River Region Chamber of Commerce Board. I am also proud to be a product of the River Parishes fulfilling this role. My goal as chair is to bring unique programming to our members and help the chamber further serve the community.
You wowed us all with your attendance at our signature program to start the year, the Annual Banquet. It was a sold-out affair with all three of our new Parish Presidents in attendance. We are hoping to carry this excitement into our programming throughout the rest of the year.

You may remember two years ago I hosted a Women in Leadership Panel for the chamber. Since that event was a success, we wanted to capitalize on the hunger for women’s development sessions. I’m excited to announce the first ever Women’s Empowerment Summit in the River Region. More details are forthcoming, and the event will be held this summer. I’d also like to encourage you to save the date for two of our upcoming signature events: The Crawfish Boil on Apr. 16 and The Golf Tournament on Sept. 17.
The Chamber’s vision is to be the leading voice of business in the River Parishes. And our mission, is to grow, strengthen and unify both small and large businesses. There are many ways for you to get involved in our committees and seminars. Our workforce development committee is tackling the issue of training more qualified talent with the Louisiana Calling Campaign. Our public policy committee is the voice of business and dedicated not only to promoting and supporting business development, but also to representing our business community at the local, state and federal levels.
