Shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday, St. John the Baptist Parish firefighters were dispatched to the Spring Meadows Subdivision in LaPlace in response to a house fire. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The house was heavily damaged in the fire. The owner of the house, officer Keith Duronslet, is a crime scene investigator and a dedicated leader of the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Distinguished Gentleman’s Club. After 21 years of military service, Duronslet joined SJSO in 2016. SJSO asks the community to keep Dursonlet and his family in prayer.
