Coxie is headed to a college bowl game

MEMPHIS – East St. John High School Class of 2016 alumnus Damonte Coxie is heading for the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on Dec. 28.
Wide receiver Coxie is a junior at the University of Memphis. The team is having one of its best years ranking in the top 25 for most of the season and for the first time in its history, winning 11 games in regular season play. The Tigers recently clinched the American’s West Division title and will play Penn State in the upcoming bowl game.
