Voter Registration Drive offered Oct. 24 in advance of run-off

LAPLACE — There’s still time to register to vote before the Nov. 16 run-off election. Every Vote Counts is holding a Voter Registration Drive from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at 944 Cambridge Drive in LaPlace, the site of Nola’s Boutique & Gifts.
The event will feature free food and drinks.

Online voter registration is also available through the Louisiana Secretary of State at sos.la.gov.
Run-off elections are held for races in which no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote.
Michael Wright and Marvin “Butch” Perrilloux Sr. will be on the ballot for Parish Council At-Large Division B. Both have served on the St. John the Baptist Parish Council for the past eight years and are term-limited in their district seats.
