LAPLACE — Andre’ Brock received the Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of County Agriculture Agents during the 2019 Annual Meeting and Professional Improvement Conference held in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Brock was one of several honorees who represent the top two percent of the membership selected by their peers and the Director of Extension.

Brock began his career as a split Ag Agent / 4-H Agent, a position he held for 10 years in West Feliciana Parish, north of Baton Rouge. In 2017, he filled one of the new roles created by the LSU Ag Center as a multi-parish Horticulture Agent. He has worked in this capacity in three parishes west of New Orleans for about two years, working mainly with homeowners and small-acreage fruit/vegetable farmers.
