20 food vendors, 13 entertainers highlight Andouille Fest

LAPLACE — The 46th Annual Andouille Festival presented by Marathon Petroleum Company, LP will feature 20 food vendors, eight sweet vendors, 23 craft vendors and 13 main stage entertainers. The festival is set to take place Oct. 18 – 20 at the Thomas F. Daley Memorial Park, 2900 Highway 51 in LaPlace.

Food vendors highlight the festival namesake, Andouille, in their dishes as well as local cuisine and festival favorites. Vendors will have a wide range of Andouille-based dishes including crawfish & Andouille balls, Andouille pasta, fried crab with Andouille sauce, gumbo, jambalaya and Andouille po-boys. The festival will also feature other Louisiana festival favorites such as crawfish bisque, smothered okra, boiled seafood, fried ribs, jacked up shrimp, crawfish balls, hamburgers, hotdogs, nachos and more. New to this year is an entire section just for sweets which features banana pudding, pralines, petit fours, pound cakes, brownies, cookies, rice crispy treats, pop corn balls and pies to name a few. View the complete food list at andouillefestival.com/food.php.

Attendees can browse the wide array of craft vendors that will be selling jewelry, woodcarvings, scarves, décor, wreaths, t-shirts, paintings, purses and other items. View the complete craft list at andouillefestival.com/crafts.php.

Live entertainment for the festival includes Keith Frank and the Soileau Zydeco Band, The Bucktown All- Stars, Harold Warren and Innervision Band, Amanda Shaw, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, the Topcats, Dat Band and more. View the complete music lineup at andouillefestival.com/bands.php.

Festival posters and ride bracelets are available at the St. John Parish Economic Development Department, Matherne’s Supermarket in LaPlace and Don’s Country Store and Gregg’s Neighborhood Market in Reserve. Save money on rides by purchasing a weekend ride pass in advance for $60, which includes unlimited ride access throughout the entire festival weekend. The all weekend pass will be $75 at the gate. Advanced Day Ride Tickets will be $25 in stores and $30 at the gate.
