RESERVE — Jessica LeBouef, a hairstylist at Judy’s Salon Central in Reserve, decided four years ago that she wanted to honor her mother-in-law Joan LeBouef’s bravery in defeating breast cancer.

The fourth annual Perry’s Posse ‘Pink Dat’ Day Fundraiser will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Judy’s Salon Central, located at 191 Central Avenue in Reserve.

Proceeds and tips from every $5 pink hair strip will be donated to Perry’s Posse to provide spiritual, emotional and financial support to active cancer patients in the River Parishes. The pink strips can be permanent or temporary, according to Joan LeBouef.

She said ‘Pink Dat’ Day is the perfect opportunity to enjoy refreshments and share stories with cancer survivors.
