RESERVE – With the start of the 2019-2020 school year, St. Peter Catholic School proudly embarks upon its 90th Year of educating youth of the River Parishes. Our Founder, Msgr. Jean Eyraud, had a vision of providing children, not just an education, but a Catholic education. He stated “My first care was to try to bring the children to God because they were living far from God.  The only way (to achieve this) was to obtain a Catholic School.” The doors of St. Peter Catholic School opened on September 1, 1930.

Now under the administration of Fr. John Marse, Pastor of St. Peter Parish, and Marie Comeaux, Principal of St. Peter Catholic School, our school continues to provide not only a quality education but a quality CATHOLIC education.  Fr. Marse is a 1968 graduate of St. Peter School and Mrs. Comeaux is entering her 7th year as its Principal. Both are focused on continuing the Msgr.’s dream well beyond its next decade and into the next century. They are also committed to ensuring that all students who walk the halls of our school are offered high academic standards and a religious education.

With extra curricular activities such as sports (soccer, football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, cheerleading, and pep-squad) as well as clubs (Drama, 4-H, Beta, Student Council, Mary’s Club, Choir, Safety Patrol, etc.) our students have every opportunity to develop the qualities expected of a St. Peter alumnus and becoming well-rounded citizens of our community.
