LAPLACE — St. Joan of Arc Catholic School is excited about the upcoming 2019-20 school year where we plan to continue our mission of preparing students both spiritually and academically to live the Good News of Jesus Christ. We plan to build on our last years spiritual goal of kindness with a theme of  where we practice being the light of Christ to others.  SJA is an AdvancED certified school with a faculty and administration that is well qualified and has an average of 18 years of experience. Many of our faculty members are either St. Joan of Arc alumni or their children have attended our school. Academically , we will continue to focus on students establishing goals and working to see improvements in their academics. Students will be rewarded in the Accelerated Reader program for reaching and surpassing reading goals. STAR Reading and IXL Math and ELA will also be used to help teachers track data and assist students in meeting their academic goals. As far as extra-curricular interests, students will be offered a variety of opportunities to accomplish goals in clubs and sports. To help us grow spiritually, the administration, faculty, staff, and students plan and participate in an array of faith-based events throughout the year. The school day begins and ends with school-wide prayer and prayer is incorporated into daily routines. Weekly Mass is celebrated. Special seasonal celebrations take place; among those are Living Rosary, Pet Blessing, Living Nativity, and Stations of the Cross.

The campus is large, beautifully maintained and has multiple security features to ensure the safety of our students. As with every year, our focus is on our students — helping them to grow spiritually, challenge themselves academically, use technology to advance their learning, and find something they enjoy outside the classroom, all with the support of the faculty and staff.

The SJA family invites you to stop by to see what their school has to offer your child and to become part of their family.
