LAPLACE — St. John the Baptist Parish is offering a place-based investment loan program for targeted redevelopment projects that create a positive visual impact and accelerated economic activity in St. John Parish. Partially forgivable loans of up to $50,000 will be offered at no interest.

Eligible projects include commercial signs, green parking lots and façade improvements in local historic districts.

Informational sessions will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the LaPlace library and at 5:30 p.m. August 7 at the Edgard Library.
