LAPLACE — The River Region Chamber of Commerce is offering a number of exciting opportunities for members this month.

 The River Region Chamber of Commerce is participating in a summer networking event at Historic St. John Theatre, allowing guests to preview a portion of the highly anticipated summer musical, Grease.

The event, free to all Chamber members, takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. July 18 at 115 W. Fourth Street in Reserve. Attendees must RSVP to the River Region Chamber no later than July 15.

RRCC member Louisiana Federal Credit Union is offering a free community workshop on buying and selling a small business from 6 to 7:30 p.m. July 24 at 406 E. Airline Highway in LaPlace.

Guests will learn to determine if they are asking or paying too much for a business, learn how to pinpoint the right process and pinpoint the right time to sell or buy.  Please RSVP at getsmart@LouisianaFCU.org.

Executive Director Chassity McComack announced the River Region Chamber will host Congressman Cedric Richmond July 29 at the St. Charles Community Center. Seating is close to maximum capacity, according to McComack. Once seats are filled, a waiting list will start.
