Stars and Stripes in St. John: Veterans celebrate Independence Day with luncheon

RESERVE — The 14th annual Veterans Luncheon honored come of St. John the Baptist Parish’s most respected community members July 3 at REGALA Gym in Reserve.
General Robert Crear, who served almost 33 years on active duty worldwide where he commanded and led soldiers at every level with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers served as the guest speaker.
Other invited guests included honorable state representatives and Congress members who joined Parish Council members and other elected officials in saluting local Veterans.

Andouille Queen Mandy Lee Sweeney and Teen Queen Jenna Necaise show support for Veterans Wednesday in Reserve.
Those in attendance were treated to a musical performance from the Victory Belles.
