8U All-Stars take champion title

LULING — The St. Charles 8-year-old All-Star team earned the title of State Champions. After going undefeated and winning their district championship tournament, the team made another undefeated run through the Babe Ruth League Machine Pitch Louisiana state tournament held June 20-23 at the St. Charles West Bank Bridge Park.
Reece Surmik was named tournament MVP, and Aiden Thayer was awarded the championship game ball. The 8U All-Stars will next travel to Daphne, Alabama to represent Louisiana in the Southwest regional tournament.
