VACHERIE — Through investigation, the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office developed Nolan R. Zenon of Vacherie as a suspect in a recent shooting in Vacherie.

Officers responded to a shooting that occurred on Magnolia Heights Street in Vacherie just before 7 p.m. Wednesday night. On scene, officers discovered a victim was shot one time in the leg.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Zenon for attempted second degree murder.
