NEW ORLEANS — Archbishop Chapelle High School held its Class of 2019 graduation at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans. Principal Leila Benoit and Associate Principal Susan Panzavecchia awarded the diplomas. Ingrid Fields, Associate Superintendent of the Office of Catholic Schools, was the guest speaker.

The valedictorian was Brenda Marie Hebert and the salutatorian was Molly Rose Snakenberg.

Hebert, daughter of Carl and Angela Hebert, received the Archbishop Chapelle Social Studies Excellence Emerald Award. In addition to other scholarships, she received the Flagship Scholars Resident Award and the President’s Student Aid Award from Louisiana State University. Hebert will attend Louisiana State University and pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.

Snakenberg, daughter of Brian and Ann Snakenberg, received the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Award and the Archbishop Placide Louis Chapelle Outstanding Graduate Emerald Award. In addition to other scholarships, she received the Citizenship Award, the Presidential Scholar Award, and the SHC Partnership Award from Spring Hill College. Snakenberg will attend Spring Hill College and pursue a degree in psychology and theology.

Also graduating summa cum laude were Natalie Ann Shepherd, Caitlin Brigette Mathes, Brooke Elizabeth Scardino, Meagan Elizabeth Scuderi, Natalie Rose Gilmore, Nicole Frances Gilmore, Emily Brianne Sabido, Kaitlyn Michelle Braud, and Brooke Rose Siegle.
