LAPLACE — A flash flood watch will be in effect from tonight (Wednesday) through 7 p.m. Thursday, when the heaviest rain is expected to impact the area. Rainfall is expected to total 2 to 4 inches, with locally higher amounts possible. Now is the time to pick up debris in yards and make sure drains and catch basins at home are clear.

We will most likely see isolated periods of heavy rainfall through Saturday with the greatest risk on Thursday. Stay weather ready!
