Charles Julien, ex-St. John the Baptist Parish Council Member, announces his bid for the Parish Presidency of St. John the Baptist Parish.
Mr. Julien is a graduate of Southern University A&M of Baton Rouge, with a degree in English.
Mr. Julien ran for the Presidency in 2015; however, he came up short, finishing in third place behind Mr. Daniel Becnel and current President, Natalie Robottom.
During his time on the Council, Mr. Julien voted for and implemented $29 million in “Bond & Infrastructure” projects, created the Department of Health & Human Resources, as well as approved and oversaw yearly budgets for St. John Parish.
This Campaign season, Mr. Julien’s platform includes: REALLY “putting the residents of St. John first” as it relates to economics and jobs; creating a more effective Recreation Department, as well as effective training program for our youth; and making sure the “levee monies” are inclusively spent — St. John Companies HAVE TO HAVE A STAKE!!!
