Keller: Paul Richard Jr. provided valuable assist to GHOL ministry

In 1983, my friend, Paul Richard Jr., who was an attorney, was confined to a wheelchair because of an accident.

After sharing with him, he prepared and recorded Get High on Life’s Articles of Incorporation.

Last week, after over 30 years, I accidently ran across the Articles of Incorporation, which I decided to share with you.

Article III

The corporation is organized for the purpose of helping people by providing a service wherein individuals, schools, businesses and industries, who experience drug related problems, may seek information, assistance, guidance and counseling; and to provide a source of information and education wherein the general public may become more fully aware of the dangers of alcohol, drugs and drug abuse; and to provide a forum where drug related problems may be addressed and resolved in a caring and responsible atmosphere.

Although we do focus our energy on helping those persons with drug related problems we believe the real purpose in living is to glorify GOD and accept eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, beginning with our own families and their reaching out to a suffering humanity that does not know His love and His sacrifice.

We believe that children are a gift of GOD, a blessing from the Lord. We are therefore accountable to GOD for molding, shaping and preparing them for a life of service to GOD and their fellowman.

We believe human life is of extraordinary worth from the moment of conception to our elderly persons and we believe a person is significant and worthy of love wherever he is in life. We believe that the institution of marriage is a permanent, lifelong relationship, regardless of trials, financial reverses or emotional stresses that may come forth.

I thank God for putting Paul Richard Jr., now deceased, in my life to share what he thought was in my heart.

It would have been impossible for me to express myself like he did in 1983.
