RESERVE — Riverlands Christian Center welcomed a group of 77 adults and children from Southeast France who made a stop in Reserve this week during a tour of the New Orleans region.
With the help of a translator, guests listened to regional music and learned about African American contributions to industry on the Soul River Musical Journey.
After the interactive tour, guests enjoyed lunch and performed on their own instruments.
Organizer Damon J. Batiste said the tour group is part of an initiative to promote tourism through cultural exchange.
