LAPLACE — Water customers on Main Street, from Airline to West 5th Street, in LaPlace will be without water pressure until a leak can be repaired.
St. John Parish reported the Water District #3 news just before noon Thursday.
As a precaution, the Louisiana Department of Health has issued a Boil Water Advisory for all water customers who lost water pressure.
The BOIL ADVISORY will be lifted upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health that water samples collected are safe.
It is recommended all consumers disinfect their water before consuming or using for food preparation by boiling water for one full minute in a clean container.
The one-minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil.
