Historic Garyville transforms into Bevel, Texas for movie filming
GARYVILLE — Businesses on Museum Street and Historic Front Street in Garyville were transformed into the fictional town of Bevel, Texas, for filming of the upcoming feature motion picture “The Quarry.”
Written and directed by Scott Teems, the film explores “sin and redemption, violence and grace and the lengths to which men will go to outrun their evil deeds.”
Filming began Monday and continues through April 12.
