LAPLACE — Police said four people orchestrated two armed robberies Tuesday night in St. John the Baptist Parish.

St. John Sheriff’s Office detectives are actively investigating the robberies and have not yet released details on the suspects or their crimes.

“Detectives believe the robberies may be linked to the same suspects,” a statement from the Sheriff’s Office reads. “More information will be announced later.”

Officers responded at approximately 7:40 p.m. Tuesday to a home in the 100 block of Riverside Drive in Reserve in reference to a robbery.

Just over an hour later, officers responded to a home in the 200 block of Somerset in LaPlace in reference to a robbery.

The second call for help led to a police pursuit from LaPlace eastbound towards I-10 then I-310, where St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies and Louisiana State Police joined the pursuit.

The chase ended at the Highway 3127 off ramp, where four suspects were taken into custody.
