EDGARD — Staff members with Dollar General said the Edgard store will begin selling name brand and private brand merchandise, including packaged and refrigerated food, health and beauty products, cleaning supplies, home goods, seasonal items, toys and basic clothing to the public on Thursday.

The store is located at 130 Louisiana Highway 640 in Edgard.

Referrals for local literacy services are available at the cash register in every Dollar General location.
