LAPLACE — Ascension of Our Lord Catholic School sixth grade student Caleigh Remondet took part in the State 4-H Livestock Show at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center last week.

She has been raising chickens since January and chose her best six chickens to compete against other area 4-H members.

Out of 150 pullets (female), she placed sixth in ‘showmanship’ and 14th overall.
