AOL fish fries start March 6; debit & credit accepted

- Fish fry fundraisers share a smile during one of their 2017 cooking days. The efforts start again March 6.
LAPLACE — The Ascension of Our Lord, Knights of Columbus, Council 9623 is planning another season of Lenten Fish Fries.
The traditional meals will be served March 6, 8, 15, 22, 29, April 5 and 12.
There are new prices this year:
• Adult plates ($10) include two large pieces of fried or grilled fish, with Cajun Boiled corn and potatoes.
• Child plates ($8) include one large piece of fried or grilled fish, with Cajun Boiled corn and potatoes.
Serving runs from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. under the Knights of Columbus tent in front of Ascension of Our Lord Catholic School, 1809 Greenwood Drive in LaPlace.
Besides cash, volunteers will also be accepting credit cards and debit cards.
Proceeds support The Rev. Benjamin Scholarship Program.
