EDGARD — Police are tracking down the shooter or shooters involved in an overnight drive-by shooting of a West Bank home.

According to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office, the shooting took place at approximately 2 a.m. Thursday along West 1st Street in Edgard.

“We’re working it,” Sheriff Mike Tregre said. “The house was shot, and the cars were struck by gunfire. We do have a lead on that, and it is being investigated.”

According to police, numerous people were inside the home during the shooting but no one sustained any injuries.
