NORCO — Perry’s Posse, the nonprofit cancer assistance organization, introduced their mascot, Fearless Freckles, at the Norco Christmas Parade.

Freckles is fearless when fighting cancer, just as Perry’s Posse is fearless in helping cancer patients who are actively in treatment.

Freckles is made possible by the generous donations from community and businesses in the River Parishes.

Some of the Posse members along with their families handed out candy along with pamphlets explaining what the organization is about all along the parade route in Norco.

Perry’s Posse is continuing its search for a vacant building to host a large garage sale next Spring.

“We met many of our patients and former patients along the route and gave encouragement to other cancer patients in the crowd,” said Joan LeBouef, Posse member and cancer survivor. Many ran up to members and asked when Perry’s Posse would host its garage sale and some offered to bring donations as soon as a venue big enough to host the event is secured.

Perry’s Posse is asking community members to help the organization find a vacant building to host a large garage sale for Spring of 2019.

The organization can furnish a tax deductible W-9 form so the donation lease/rent can be used as a tax deduction.

Those with information are asked to contact any Posse member or call LeBouef at 504-452-6547, Tanya Roccaforte at 504-416-8093 or Trudy Torres at 504-201-1459.
