LULING — The St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter is hosting an “All Aboard the Pet Express” that will feature pet photos with Santa from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 8 at 921 Rue La Cannes in Luling.

Animal Control Supervisor Dr. Jena Troxler said last year’s event was so popular they added two photography suites this year.

“It seems like each year this event grows, and we couldn’t be happier because that means more funds to allow us to provide medical care for homeless pets,” Troxler said.

The St. Charles Humane Society and the Animal Control Office have partnered to present the event, which will feature adoptions, pet gifts, gift basket auctions and activities for children.

Pet parents are welcome to bring their leashed and vaccinated pets to take portraits with Santa from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. for $40.

Each disc will also include multiple photos with a photographer’s release.

All proceeds support the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter and St. Charles Humane Society, the non-profit that handles medical care for local animals in need and shelter residents.
