LAPLACE — St. John the Baptist Parish Government services started the transition Monday to the new Government Complex, located at 1811 W. Airline Highway on the front lawn of the Percy Hebert Building in LaPlace.

All phone numbers will remain the same including the main phone line at 985-652-9569.

The first departments to move into the new complex will be Finance/Purchasing/Grants and Economic Development.

Later in the week, the Parish President’s Office, Human Resources, Planning and Zoning, Code Enforcement and Utility Billing will move.

The Planning and Zoning and Utility Billing Department will operate with limited staff available for permit consultation and payments by check only on Thursday at the Service Center.

Residents should begin coming to the new building at 1811 W. Airline Highway on Monday (Dec. 3) for Planning and Zoning and Utility Billing needs.

During this brief transition, water bills can be paid online at sjbparish.com, by calling 1-877-884-4009 or in person at the Garyville Service Center, Greg’s Supermarket, Capital One Bank Edgard and Club Grocery Edgard.
