St. James Parish Hospital takes home awards at state marketing conference
LUTCHER — St. James Parish Hospital representatives re-cently attended the Louisiana Hospital Association’s Annual Fall Conference and were honored with four state marketing awards.
The LHA Pelican Awards recognize excellence in hospital public relations and marketing with the goal to improve the quality and effectiveness of hospital communications. Hospitals from across the state compete in different categories for the awards, which are judged based on planning, implementation, results and creativity.
Kassie Roussel, director of marketing at St. James Parish Hospital, has served on the Board of Directors for the LHA’s Public Relations and Marketing Constituency Group for four years.
She was the 2018 President/Chair.
“It has been wonderful representing St. James Parish Hospital as the Chair of the Louisiana Hospital Association’s PR and Marketing Steering Committee,” Roussel said.
“Throughout my tenure on the board, I have been able to meet marketing executives from across the state giving me the opportunity to share stories and learn tactics that allow our small hospital to better communicate with our local patients.
“Our team is continually working to evolve our communication strategies to keep our community informed when it comes to both health and wellness.”
