GARYVILLE — A St. John the Baptist Parish man is dead, and police are asking the public for help in the investigation of a violent weekend shooting.

On Monday, St. John Sheriff’s Office officials confirmed Lorenzo Eugene, 34, was shot and pronounced dead Sunday evening near 158 S. Fig St. in Garyville.

Police said Eugene was “shot numerous times.”
