Daniel A. Tamplain

Daniel A. Tamplain, 91, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018.
He was a native of Garyville and a longtime resident of Garyville and LaPlace.
Daniel served in the U. S. Army during W.W.II.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 5935 LaPlace, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 3337 and a parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
Daniel was the beloved husband of the late Shirley Brown Tamplain by first marriage and the late Hazel O. Landry Tamplain; loving father of Barbara Sheets (Bentley), Sherie Tamplain, Danielle Tamplain Vicknair (Steve) and the
late Terry Tamplain and Chris Tamplain; stepfather of Charles, Brian, Sandy and Patsy Landry Thom (Larry); grandfather of seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; son of the late Louis J. Tamplain Sr. and Josephine Monconduit Tamplain; brother of Joyce Bourgeois and the late Louis Tamplain Jr., Earl “E.J.” Tamplain, Harry Tamplain, Delia Vicknair, Nettie Atkins and Esther Waguespack.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 W. 5th Street in LaPlace, on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 11 a.m.
Visitation will begin in church at 9 a.m.
Interment is in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
