LAPLACE — Live entertainment from the festival main stage and plenty of good fun from the Gospel Tent and bands rocking the Kid’s Tent should keep the party going all weekend at this year’s 45th Annual St. John Parish Andouille Festival presented by Marathon Petroleum Company.

Alisha Batiste holds 3-year-old Ryshad Green early on Friday at the Andouille Festival.

Organizers said this weekend is filled with great music, rides, crafts and, of course, delicious food.

The Andouille Festival started today (Oct. 19) and continues through Sunday at Thomas F. Daley Memorial Park, located at 2900 U.S. 51 in LaPlace.

Amusement rides, bands, games, arts and crafts, children’s activities and more are happening, now along with cooking demonstrations, a Second Line Parade, an Andouille Walk/Run and children’s art tent.

Food vendors have an assortment of delicacies including andouille eggrolls, fried andouille chips, seafood pasta, crawfish bisque, jambalaya, pastalaya, gumbo, Cajun ribs, smothered okra, crawfish balls, Asian andouille shrimp and more!

Kaylei Schneider, 9; Alexus Schneider, 7; and Madison Gorbach, 7, show off their fun sides during a break in action at the festival.

Stop by today.
